Went on Monday 23rd June as it was my husbands birthday. The food was excellenty. I had chicken pakora to start which was lovely. The red sauce was a bit hot for me, but in small amounts was lovely. The Scampi and chips with a side order of onion rings was lovely. The prawn cocktail was nice. The Sweet and Sour chicken was also very nice except that the sauce was smooth with no fruit in it. We didn't have dessert as we couldn't fit it in we were so full
Delicious food, freshly made and served piping hot. Fish and chips, scampi and chips and chilli con carne with rice and homemade tortilla chips.
This was an amazing recomendation by our B&B host. The service was really good, there attention to detail fantastic and the food... well the food was simply outstanding. The seafood tagliatelle was perfection and a great size portion. The Eton mess sundae and the Biscoff sundae were just fantastic. Lots of strawberries on tbe Eton mess one and a large portion of ice cream. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were of good quantity and on the larger side. A great meal which we really enjoyed.
First visit when visiting family. I had the steak pie which was excellent. Copious and distinct cubes of meat, very flavoursome gravy. What pleased me particularly was that the vegetables were not overcooked and still had the right amount of crunch. Portions were generous, veg was varied, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My dining companions were equally happy with their meals and we would all eat there without hesitation. Highly recommended
Beautiful pub, delicious food, lovely staff and even a play area for the kids! Can't wait to come back :)
We were a party of 16 with children for a family birthday meal. The service, staff and food were all excellent, large portions for meals. I would highly recommend the Swan, had an absolutely fantastic night.
A familiar location The Swan, under new management, is alive and kicking. It's good to see The Swan at the top of it's game again. I went there for a family meal (two adults and two young children) and was blown away by the whole experience. The atmosphere, the food, the service. All brilliant. We were greeted with a warm smile and shown to an ideal table ‐ space for the kids to stretch out. We felt like we had our own VIP section. The food was gorgeous and substantial. The server advised on the pudding and it did not disappoint. The portions are very generous so make sure you don't snack before you visit. We will definitely be returning for round two (three and four)
